Wellness is the new STATUS SYMBOL
For years, success was measured by the visible things: the title, the house, the watch, the private jet. These were the symbols that told the world you had made it.
But I think we are witnessing a fundamental shift.
The people I speak with today — UHNW / HNW individuals and high achievers, founders, executives, investors, family offices, entrepreneurs — aren’t asking me how to make another million dollars. Many of them already solved that problem. They are asking a different question:
How do I actually enjoy the life I’ve built?
That’s a very different conversation.
We are living longer than any generation before us. Advances in medicine, genomics, AI precision medicine, and longevity science mean many people will live into their nineties — and perhaps beyond. But living longer was never the real objective.
Living better was.
What’s the value of another twenty years if they’re anxious, exhausted, emotionally disconnected, cognitively declining, or simply surviving?
To me, longevity isn’t about adding years to life. It’s about making sure those years are worth living.
One of the many misconceptions about wealth is that money is always the scarcest resources but for many successful people, it isn’t.
✔️ Time is.
✔️ Attention is.
✔️ Energy is.
✔️ Mental clarity is.
✔️ Psychological peace is.
Money can buy access but it cannot buy convenience, a calm mind, emotional resilience, a healthy relationship, a regulated nervous system.
Those assets have to be INVESTED in.
That’s why I believe we are entering a new era of wealth.
For years we’ve focused almost exclusively on financial portfolios: How do we grow them? Protect them? Transfer them? Optimize them?
Those questions still matter.
But I think we’ve overlooked an equally important portfolio. The one that determines whether we’re actually capable of enjoying everything we’ve accumulated.
Our human portfolio.
Our psychological health.
Our brain.
Our nervous system.
Our relationships.
Our physical health.
Our ability to recover from adversity.
Our capacity to make good decisions under pressure.
Because every financial decision is ultimately made by a HUMAN being. Every investment, every acquisition, every succession plan, every relationship, every leadership decision.
Everything passes through the same human operating system - the brain and nervous system. If that system is overwhelmed, everything downstream is affected.
This is why I founded Predictive Human Infrastructure (PHI).
Because to achieve better long-term health, sustainable executive performance, wellness and longevity, you don’t need more providers. You need better coordination of them addressing the whole Human Operating System: brain, mind, biology, body, and behavior.
We’ve become incredibly sophisticated at measuring biomarkers, genetics, hormones, inflammation, sleep, and cardiovascular risk. But every one of those systems is influenced by HUMAN BEHAVIOR. And every behavior is mediated by the BRAIN.
You cannot separate longevity from psychology.
You cannot separate performance from emotional regulation.
You cannot separate health from the way we think, cope, recover, and adapt.
They are ALL connected.
I also think we are redefining what LUXURY looks like.
✔️ Luxury isn’t another watch. Luxury is sleeping through the night.
✔️ Luxury is waking up without anxiety.
✔️ Luxury is having enough emotional capacity to be fully present with your children.
✔️ Luxury is making difficult decisions without your nervous system hijacking you.
✔️ Luxury is striking at 65 healthier than you were at 50.
✔️ Luxury is having wealth that you actually have the capacity to enjoy.
To me, that’s become infinitely more impressive than another material possession.
STATUS SYMBOLS have always reflected what society values. Yesterday it was FINANCIAL CAPITAL. Tomorrow is your LONG-TERM HEALTH, MENTAL CLARITY, WELLNESS and LONGEVITY.
